I had prob 10ppl out there say that were slipping mostly in 2nd including myself. I was on street tires but one of those ppl being Bacadiesel said it felt dangerious at one point. My stang is stock and the best run I had was 13.1 wasnt very impressed. I ran a high 12 two weeks ago same track.

Idk what's going on, my 5.0 ran a 13.0 at 115mph. Could not break into the 12's. Intake, tune, headers, off road x and exhaust cams. Maybe I just suck at driving

I saw a lot of fairly high powered manual trans cars on street tires. You can only expect so much out of a street tire. I've had nights where I couldn't shift a manual trans car on street tires at all without blowing the tires off and could hop in a auto car similar power and tires and not have an issue.

You have the mod list and mph to run high 11s. Driver mod is always needed but a real wheel and tire combo will make things much easier.

well I know how to drive and based off experience @ the same track running 12.4's in my 2011 on the stock tires and running high 12's in my 2014 I still thought the track was inconsistent.

I don't see anything about suspension and tires? Have you got anything there?

Naw, the 14s are just slower. :boxed:

I got Michelin pilot super sports 285/35/20. I also have relocation brackets and upper and lower control arms.

Tell me more. What brackets, what hole they are in, bracket for the upper with more than one hole? What springs, shocks/struts.

You're fighting it with that tire though. Not going to hook a totally stock car, adding power just made it worse.

Bacadiesel 04-14-2014 01:58 AM

Stock shocks, lowered 1.5 all around on sr springs, have not cut bump stops, j&m lower control arms, bmr upper control arm and mount, bmr relocation brackets, j&m panhard.

Relocation brackets are in middle setting. My best 60' was 2.13 but I actually thought that was going to be my worst one because I spun really hard. The other times were 2.22 or so but coming off idle.

Those springs and bumpstops aren't helping for sure. Shocks/struts would be nice to have. The rest looks OK I think. Really it comes down to what you want to do with the car. You've got some parts that just aren't conducive to getting it down the track. Any time you compromise so you can do more than one thing with the car, it's just that, a compromise. With the right suspension and tires there's no reason the car can't easily run 11s, but that maybe isn't what you want to do with the car.
