Depending on market... I got my 08 a year old in 09 for 30,500. Had full exhaust, 2000 dollar nitrous system, cam, cold air etc, and only 16k miles... It made 645rw and ran mid 10s with a terrible bog (wouldn't leave hard, it broke when I tried). Was probably one of the most fun and best cars I've owned, but I sold it to buy my dad's 05 and chase the NA record of 10.1 currently.

My wife's has crossdrilled brakes and heavier wheels, as well as power seats hud etc. On a guess I'd expect my race weight racing Zeek to be around 3250-3300. I had NO gas in the car as I usually do on the street.

If the c6 driver can drive, on a qtr mile the race will be decided by reaction time and 60 foor (traction). On the freeway the c6 should win by at least a car at 150ish. On a road race track, you are going to get smoked unless you are the Stig and your bro has special needs.

Well, I guess when you get your Dad's C6 here, we will have to run them. :D

You are right, they are mid/low 20s depending on mileage for ls2 cars. You can get nice 08-09 LS3 vettes for 28k. Heck you can get z06s for mid 30s now if you will take higher mileage.

My friend here just got a 2006 z51 vette with a d1sc procharger, headers, cam, meth, clutch, rims, tires, exhaust, custom stereo, etc etc for $26k. Makes 720rwhp and in great shape.

my bolt on c6 feels slow.. i guess its because i replaced the Alum motor with a big hunk of heavy iron:(

I had to do the ECU trick because it was missfiring on 5 cyl and throwing multiple random missfire codes... if i didnt pull the fuse.. it would pull out all of the timing.:)
i did that because it was HURT.. not because it gave it an extra 50 rwhp....

that being said.. it did makre more than 440 rwhp .. :) but well under 500.. MAYBE 470-480 rwhp, but the one time i decided to dyno it at HPP in front of Skip.. the clutch wouldnt hold and it made exactly 440 rwhp lol

By the way, at the moment you are the fastest car on this site by a long shot, at least from a roll because you're scared to run from a dig. lol

But there is a couple of cars in the works around here who may give you a good run in the near future. :)

Does it hang out anywhere near HPP? And I wonder if the Kona Blue '11 GT up there with the twins would give it a run. First pull netted 1050 at the wheels. Not bad for a Hellion kit.

I think Sam my tuner might have driven it out there once.. But i dont " hang out " there..

you are thinking most likely of a friend of mine.. Black Rear wide body C6 with some big chromed out 20s on it. That car is a d1 car making 780ish rwhp.

I dont make NEAR 1050 rwhp.. so that HPP car should drag me.. my setup is vey conservativily tuned... i set it up for nice drivabilty not to put down a number.. Steve just likes to talk it up.

Not the same car. The one I'm thinking of is a nitrous car (BIG shot) running E85. Sounds wicked and smells good! LOL!

that vette sounds like a race car though..

mines a Small blower pump gas car running a wagon wheel for a pully and not making a lot of boost.. I had no desire to chase a BIG number with my build.. all i wanted was reliability and a fun car to drive.

Yes, I've very aware of what your car is capable of on kill. But let's be honest here, your last set up was more than enough to handle anyone here let alone the new one. lol.

A Mustang needs to make at least 100-150rw more than the Vette it's racing to overcome the weight difference, gearing and aerodynamic advantage the Vette's have. Without completely spilling the beans here, that is a lot of of power a Mustang needs to make to handle your car and there is no one here that makes that kind of power yet.

Yes Dave, your car is the fastest on this site, I agree with Steve on that. Its not "sad" as you say, this just isnt a site full of Lambos and GTRs with millionares like DR is.
