I don't blame you abit. Stripper cars are fun when racing only. Other than that it's boring. I like my options and full weight. Just make more power!

I'm sure when I go out to the meet I'll be removing the easy stuff. Like passenger seat. That's like 65lbs right there.

Grandpa 03-19-2014 10:22 AM

LOL, not me. Full weight. I even added weight with the babyseats in the back! lol. It's just not that important to me. If I lose, no big deal, it's still fun!

Passenger seat and skinnies will give you a car length or two in a race... pretty noticeable imo. Ask vic for sure, but I think thats about right.

Every 100lbs is about equal to a tenth in ET and/or one car length.

BERT 03-19-2014 11:52 AM

So when are these races happening?

Right, but skinnies are less rolling resistance and rotational weight. It skews that rule more so than just dead weight in the car.

Donnie and I will race at some point soon. We all always end up acting like stupid teenagers at some point when we go cruising. lol

Dfwls.com is this sites new name. Yea my lack of experience. I've ran the vettes that are so fast stock. I beat them. All I have is a tune. What is fung though is a 20k mustang getting compared to 40k dollar gm product.

Im payin 22 k for my ls2 car with 21k miles and no sales taxes... few grand more for the HREs. whats a 5.0 with 20 k miles cost? Seems more comparing a 35 k mustang to a 45 k vette... and besides pure acceleration, thats qhere the comparison stops.
