Yea he was the 250 quote. I will see how this paint holds up and if it doesn't like the temps of racing I will prolly powder coat them

03MachMe 01-17-2014 05:50 PM

Finally got the tires mounted to the rims. Cant wait to test them out next weekend

Dammit that looks so badass. I'm really kicking myself right now.

JDMLOL 01-17-2014 08:41 PM

I agree. I sort of bought my anniversary wheels on impulse because of the deal on them and wasn't sure if I really liked them or not. I'm glad I bought them now!

El_Tortuga 01-17-2014 08:56 PM

Nice. What are the tires?

03MachMe 01-17-2014 09:16 PM

Sweet! Makes them even better that you got them for a steal. Lol.

03MachMe 03-05-2014 04:42 PM

Here is the latest video from my autocross.

Dominic Toretto 03-05-2014 05:07 PM

How often do you go?

-Alex

03MachMe 03-05-2014 05:14 PM

I try to go once a month but usually every other month

El_Tortuga 03-06-2014 06:38 PM

Sound is really good. Are you using external mic?

03MachMe 03-27-2014 01:27 AM

Sorry just saw that^^ No I am not.

a couple updates. New exhaust thanks to Shane who wanted to trade.

Kooks AB. I love the tone with these just not quite loud enough. I guess LTs and O/R H or X are in my future.

Decided I wanted a set of 20" rims for street use and maybe SCCA autocross so I can run a street tire class and compete. So I sold the drifts and am on the lookout for a new set of rims. I am thinking a 5 spoke design, maybe Avant Garde M550 or M510. Still trying to decide tho. Also decided to take off the stripes so she is naked again. She needs a full detail and good wax but here is how she sits in her "temporary" shoes.

DirtyD 03-27-2014 09:22 AM

Hopefully I can here that Kooks AB sometime soon. How does it compare tone wise to the Roush? Little deeper or raspier?

What next stripe wise?

03MachMe 03-27-2014 01:10 PM

Kooks are definitely deeper. More of a old school muscle car sound. I just got a prochamber mid I'm going to throw on to see how it sounds, hopefully a little louder. And for stripes I think I'm going to leave it stripe less for a while.

Looks great man. How's the tire fitment relative to the fenders? What's the offset on those wheels too? I can't remember.

pretty much flush front and rear. rear may rub a little if i go over a large bump but front is perfect. offset is +40

even caught a neighborhood kid checking it out lol

Haha. That's a funny pic

You had to get spacers for the Brembos, right?

garner 04-07-2014 08:50 PM

That looks really good

Crimson600+HP 04-07-2014 08:53 PM

Nice square setup. Wonder how the INVOs will do to some HPDE...what made you go with those instead of another brand?

Just curious.

price and availability. I wanted a street tire that wasn't going to wear out in a year, so no Rivals or NT05s, but something that will get decent traction if I decide to do a track day on them. Then I was going to go with the Toyo Proxy T1R, in 305/30 but they were on back order with no date when they would be in.

Got a 3mm but probably could have gotten away with 2mm

Sweet. That's very minimal.

01svtL 04-08-2014 12:16 PM

How was the ride with stock shocks/struts? I'm back and forth between going for the Sportlines or the BMR springs. It'll be another 6-8 months before I can pick up aftermarket shocks/struts.

Did the lower control arms have anything to do with the ride?

01svtL 04-08-2014 04:11 PM

Also, did you ever weigh your stock wheels? I've seen them quoted at 26 lbs and at 28 lbs.

Ride with just the sportlines was pretty rough. Not unbearable tho. And YES the LCA's were necessary. I didn't have them at first and had a lot of popping in the rear when going over Bumps. Both sportlines and BMR are really good springs.

Never did. I have the brembos in the garage still but they have tires mounted so the weight would be with tires.

03MachMe 04-09-2014 11:17 AM

Did some more work on the car yesterday. Finally fished up my projects before summer hits. Painted the calipers yellow. The paint match before was always a shade or two off and it bugged me. Also installed some ground control cc plates to give me some more adjustability for the track. All in all I am happy with the way she sits right now. Still a few small things, roush front splitter, maybe new grille, and maybe RTR LP surround, but I love the new look and rides much smoother with the taller tire as well.

You can really see the tire height difference in the rear. Dang, talk about a tight squeeze.

I want to say that Vorshlag weighed the Brembos and Pirelli P Zeros from their 2011 car and came out around 56-57# tire and wheel, and around 32# for the wheels alone.

Weather is supposed to be nice all week. You have any off days at all? This may be one of those rare chances for a full photoshoot outside. lol

03MachMe 04-09-2014 03:19 PM

Today is my last day off this week. And have to get stuff around the house done that I put off past few days getting all that done to the car lol

DirtyD 04-09-2014 03:34 PM
