Pics?

Grandpa 07-29-2012 09:54 AM

Man Nick, I'm so sorry. The pic looked horrible. Hopefully they total it out and cover it all so you can get a new one. I hope you're feeling better today.

46Tbird 07-29-2012 11:18 AM

Sorry about your ride.

It's a lot to ask, but maybe you could add one or two sentences letting people know what happened, whether or not you are okay, if you had any passengers and their condition, etc. A vague "RIP car" thread leaves a lot of questions.

A old man turned in front of him in a the middle lane and nailed him. He was riding alone and his head/arm hurts.

The front right is crushed to the firewall with the wheel almost touching it from the K member being pushed in so far. It should be an easy total, but these cars are expensive so there is no telling depending on who the insurance company is.

He didn't mean the post to be vague, he's just really bummed out. He really loved that car. It's a tight group here and most people already heard the story through texting right after the wreck happen. I'm sure he'll post some pics up soon when he's feeling better.

Midnight11 07-29-2012 12:00 PM

Yea my bad I was just super pissed and have said the story a million times. Greg was actually in the passenger seat bc we had just finished fixing my brakes and installing my suspension. He is okay just a little sore thank god. Give me a sec and I'll post all the pics I got.

Midnight11 07-29-2012 12:13 PM

old man decided to turn left from a non turn, no signal and not at light. just went and did it right when i drove by him. nailed me every airbag went off and i went up a curb on a sidewalk in between a truck and a tree. im good just sore. it just fucking sucks i loved that car and i had just finished installing my suspension earlier that day...

Aw shit man. I'm sorry about that. Get some rest, take a few painkillers, and let insurance sort it all out. Sucks.

He already tried, they won't let him near the car to take any parts off of it. They wouldn't even let him take the oil seperator off of it. lol.

Doug1227 08-05-2012 03:00 PM

Did they total it?

Midnight11 08-05-2012 03:05 PM

they are dragging their ass. should find out tomorrow

03MachMe 08-05-2012 06:32 PM

sucks to hear man looked like a very nice ride and had lots of time and love into. Maybe you will be able to upgrade out of the whole thing

Grandpa 08-05-2012 06:42 PM

Im guessing they are going to fix it. Its taking too long which makes me think they getting bids to fix it.

Midnight11 08-05-2012 07:07 PM

Idk they told me it would be 2-4 days before anyone saw it bc they just go on their routes or whatever and look it up even the rep didn't know when they would see it

Midnight11 08-06-2012 10:54 AM

im fucking fed up with state farm

Grandpa 08-06-2012 11:04 AM

What's up now?

Midnight11 08-06-2012 11:06 AM

i just called again today. besides the fact the lady had no idea about shit. said they evaluated it and it sent it to the total loss team so they can have the final say. said it takes 3-5 business days for that. wtf

Grandpa 08-06-2012 11:09 AM

Ridiculous.

Midnight11 08-06-2012 11:09 AM

Is there just one person in charge of your claim you can talk to about it, or they bouncing you to a bunch of different people?

Midnight11 08-06-2012 11:14 AM

new person every time...

DirtyD 08-06-2012 11:34 AM

Speak with a manager and tell them you need them to get their shit together. Find out who the actual agent is, storm into his office, and let the "fit hit the shan".

The fact they are taking almost a week just to assess the car is retarded, unless they are using a legally blind estimator...

shadow11 08-06-2012 03:23 PM

Let them take there time and just drive the crap out of the rental :). I worked at a body shop and totaling a car is a long process.

Midnight11 08-06-2012 03:33 PM

Driving the crap out of the rental is impossible it's too slow

Plus you didn't spend your money to drive a rental. If you missed an insurance payment in a timely manner, they would be bitching. It goes both ways.

virtu 08-06-2012 06:27 PM

I should have mentioned the two times I have had to deal with State Farm has been like pulling teeth. They will take care of you but you really got to fight for it. It sucks but it will be worth it in the end.

Let me dig thru some old emails/documents and see if I can find some State Farm names/numbers that you can call to help get the process going a little faster.

I know your feeling but,
It hasn't been a complete work week yet.

Total losses take time, not to mention state farm is still handling a large amount of comprehensive claims as well with the recent storms we've seen across the metroplex lately.

relax and be thankful you didn't suffer major injury's in that accident.

Midnight11 08-06-2012 09:33 PM

i understand. its just frustrating bc i have found good deals on cars and they are selling bc im left in limbo
