Guess my Numbers

Hitting the dyno tomorrow morning (dynojet).
D1SC on 10-11psi (4.63 pulley) revving to 7200.
ID1000s, BAP, Lund Tuned.

The boost is just a guess, should be somewhere around there, I really need a boost gauge.

Grandpa 05-13-2014 04:42 PM

Through the auto and no other bolts ons other than the Xpipe, it might make 575rw. Depends on the type dyno being used too.

Zeek 05-13-2014 04:43 PM

600 or set it on fire.

blownaltered 05-13-2014 04:50 PM

Where is the "less than a LS motor" option? lol

No actually had my fair share of gm cars and decided I like the mustang better than going to a camaro. I would have kept the Z06 but I could only fit one car seat in it.

JDBishopArts 05-13-2014 05:48 PM

You should be at 600 or higher.

Ah well I do think the mustang is a better choice then the camaro.

I'm voting 600, but it will likely be a bit less. Maybe not down to 575 though. I'm more interested in the torque though. Centri's are notoriously weak in the torque department, and that's mostly what you feel during normal driving. Be sure and post the dyno sheet, I'm actually thinking about doing a Paxton or a Procharger this time around.

El_Tortuga 05-13-2014 09:17 PM

Touch under 600 would be my guess, but if you factor in only 7 of 8 cylinders.... ;)

Wait, was that still too soon? LOL

Hagen3great 05-13-2014 10:10 PM

I guess 625+ so im the single 650 vote lol..

Crimson600+HP 05-13-2014 10:37 PM

I think you will be between 600-650, so I am going 650 for fun. I may have to swing by to see how your car does...may even hook up my puny P1SC.

fordplay 05-14-2014 07:29 AM

I picked 650!!... wait wait wait... it's an a6?? Subtract extra drag for a6 option.. carry the one.... 375 to the wheels!!! Ha ha ha I kid... I say 600.. but then it's an auto so ehhh.. Ha ha

Gottop 05-14-2014 03:40 PM

I said 575 Cause I'm New here...lol

BV600 05-14-2014 04:54 PM

The Magic number was 558 lol. I dont think he knew what he was doing. Crimson went with me he made 575whp on CTPs dyno, He only made 500 and 507. I will see if I can post the sheet. So it could be off a little bit. A TT 5.0 was supposed to go with but he wasnt able to make it. He said he was revving it to 7200 but the sheet says otherwise and the numbers to cross at 5250 so maybe he didnt rev it out?

Went over to CTP and talked with jeff and will be going back tomorrow for a dyno and possibly retune. Will post up those results.

Also track this weekend which will be the real hp test

DirtyD 05-14-2014 04:56 PM

Was this the same dyno that Garner recently ran on that shows his 5.0 making 300 HP? lol

No it was a different one. Theres 4 in Killeen and 1 (CTP) in Copperas Cove. Now I know that all 4 in Killeen dont know what they are doing. I will post up the numbers from CTP tomorrow.

Should have torched it before it even got off the dyno. Don't even give the tuner time to get out.

Grandpa 05-14-2014 05:51 PM

LOL. One of these days you guys will listen to me..

I still think it should make over 6 with that Boost..

No, not really. It still has a number of restrictions on it in addition to the power robbing auto transmission. The blower is forcing more volume through the motor, but at some point it will reach maximum capacity. If he wants to it to make more power, he will need to make his set up more efficient allowing the motor to breathe.

5PointSlow 05-15-2014 10:23 AM

Boost is actually a measure of restriction.

Not entirely, it has a lot more to do with cfm and efficiency working together... a larger blower will be able to create more cfm which will make more boost, even if the motor was less restrictive.

Hmmm Sunshine or car shop? Who's the 4th dyno?

BV600 05-17-2014 04:35 PM

So went to the track did two runs. I think the trans tune needs a little help once it shifts into fourth it feels like it just falls on its face and the stock converter was the other issue couldnt 60ft for shit.

First run resulted in a 11.5@99 lol i actually let off and braked around the eighth mile mark just didnt feel comfortable on my first run.

Second was a 11.1@130 once the car shifted into fourth it just fell on its face (converter lockup?)
60fts were a 1.9 and 1.8

five.slow 05-27-2014 09:19 PM

Guess my Numbers

I wouldn't let any shop in Killeen or cove touch my vehicles. Kinda jacked up because there are a LOT of performance vehicles there and a good shop would be great for the area.

Thought you had a converter to put in a whine back?

I'd like to see your car tuned correctly kicking some ass. Good luck and thanks again for the help back in December.
