You guys really need to research more. Just because it has a LS doesnt mean its stupid fast. The car weighs 4200lbs+. Add Steve in there and you got 4400+..

I've already been for a ride in Steve's car and it is definitely not slow. Is it earth shattering fast no, it is a heavy pig. But its a comfortable heavy pig. Stock V's make around 480 to the wheel through an auto. He will keep boost up and momentum. Where as you have no boost and well if your a stick you will lose that momentum when shifting. It could be closer than he thinks but I will tell you, if you spin at all your screwed against that car. I would rather race Trey with his manual V than Steve's auto.

OK so lets say he makes 460, that's through an auto. Are you a stick or auto?

re-rx7 03-18-2014 05:46 PM

Stick. 460 is the high end mind you. Most hang around 440-50.

So 4450/450=9.8 for the V. 3850/400=9.6. For the Stang.

Steve's car does weigh about 600lbs more than mine and is close to my power level. So it should be interesting.

Are you really going to start haggling over 10 to 20 hp. That's not going to decide the winner in this race. You can't feel a 10hp increase in a car.

FYI, we have taken several bone stock V's into the 11.7-11.8 range. Thats paper filter stock

Ive seen 5.0's with nothing more then Drag Radials go 12.0. Like I said this is a drivers race.
