WTB a clean foxbody coupe DD

Looking for a clean DD coupe for the wife. Mainly focused on a clean body and interior, the engine and trans isn't a big deal.

I'd highly recommend NOT getting a fox for a daily. They disappear like virgins on prom night.

I've had a foxbody car for most of my driving life, they all sat outside, this one will be in the garage. Hope not to jinx it but I think it'll be ok. If someone wants it that bad then that's what insurance is for, and I've got a little wiring trick to help out. But I'll let you be the first to say I told you so if it disappears!

Trying to keep it in the 6-7000 range or below and a coupe preferrably. Good looking car but for 8500 it better have an ash tray that's not broke!!

Are yall saying not to park the car in your driveway? Where the hell do you peeps live? I've had a clean lifted 90 bronco sitting outside my place for the past 3 years, and the 2012 5.0 sits out on the street everyday..

I live in Keller and wouldn't leave my Fox outside in the driveway, let alone the '12.

03MachMe 09-28-2012 01:38 AM

I live in Wylie which has next to no crime. My wifes Edge parks outside but no way in hell will you catch my Mustang out of the garage. It might be my job but I dont trust people anymore lol Criminals are EVERYWHERE

Where do you live in Keller? I livejust north of 1709, right off of Keller Smithfield. Only problem weve ever had is a messican stole a power drill while they were building the other houses:van::biggun:

This. Criminals leave their shitty areas for the nice areas to steal cars. Ilived in a nice section of town where my vert fox was stolen from at the time.

Like he said, next to no crime here, but i still dont leave the stangs outside and i dont take them anywhere they cant be seen from a direct line of sight. Having a car stolen from you is traumatizing. Lol

Luke 09-28-2012 12:03 PM

I've been checking craigslist every day the past few days, just seeing what else is out there possibly not posted.

South Keller, back down close to N. Tarrant and Rufe Snow. No issues here either, but I'm still not taking any chances. The '85 and the '12 both sleep in the garage.

Trust me, it's even worse when you get the car back. Full of someone else's shit (including syringes for shooting whatever the dope du jour was, complete with blood still in them from being interrupted by the law). It was just a shitty '90 Festiva, but she still felt violated. Sold her right after I got her back.

Damn I would love to rock that for a daily...

Grandpa 10-09-2012 01:16 PM

I did it for so many years of driving a fox daily but now there is no way I could do that again. I could cruise one for a weekend toy, but not a daily. Old car = old car problems.

Exactly midnight, that things looks awesome and has a great list of mods, but may be too good to be true

Shit.. Lol I don't need another car but..

One thing, why's it have a boost gauge and no blower? Previous blown hyper-pathetic motor = run away.
