I got Sock on here with Dusold Designs to cut me a 1mm hub-centric spacer out of billit aluminum. It was very reasonable. 3mm is the max I would go without longer studs but I'd personally go longer...

They aren't ideal. Doable. But if you plan on running them full time I'd recommend longer studs. There is a reason Discount tire won't touch cars without hubcentric spacers.
