"Horsepower is what you read about, torque is what you feel."

"Torque gets you moving quickly, horsepower keeps you moving more quickly."

Both these old saws are true. You like that feeling you get when you're pushed back in your seat? That's torque. You like the feeling that the car just keeps going faster and faster? That's horsepower.

The Coyote is an OHC engine and as a rule of thumb they don't produce the same type torque level compared to horsepower that a big OHV engine will.
