Default Rotating Assembly Balancing

Curious as to what all is needed to determine if a custom rotating assembly needs to be balanced. After I get a daily sometime next year, I want to go with a Roush blower and use the same internals that Roush uses for their Aluminator engines. Mahle pistons and a different H-beam rods iirc. I am not sure though if Roush also re-balances that assembly since I am sure the weights of those different rods and pistons are different from stock. Thoughts and opinions invited.
