Default Street Outlaws - June 10 - Discovery Channel

New show on Discovery that went to OKC (and DFW at least once) to film the street races. For those of you who used to or still do frequent the street races when they're around you probably already know these cars. Kyle at 1320Video has been filming these events for years if y'all want to see more, being that it's on Discovery I don't know how scripted it will be.

Street racing is illegal.

I know a few of those guys. When I was in DE visiting my grandmother in Feb I got a call to come represent the 1% (car group I roll with in OKC) and race big chiefs truck. I would've done it but they would've had to blur my plate and my face lol. I don't think the Navy would like me being on a show about illegal street racing even though for the show the shut the roads down and had permits lol. But those guys do legitimately race like that there damn near every weekend.

Yeah while they were in DFW they had to go to Roanoke which is not a usual spot, but it was the only place that would allow it and have police/emergency standby on short notice. I don't think they'd want to give up the good spots either, the rice crowd already fucked up a few that are left.

And you must be talking about the Midwest Street Car guys, they have some quick cars, it's always a fun time when it's Texas vs. OK.

Yea I've only met a few of the mwsc guys. They're the ones that are out tearing it up lol. The guys I hung out with we're from a group called the 1% which is a bunch of car guys that like to roll race and have some nasty ass cars. They come down and compete in the Texas invitational and what not. I raced at the back of the track no prep race last year. I was on some shitty DRs and couldn't hook. It was nuts watching those guys get the cars to hook on slicks and pimp juice.

I feel like all those "reality" shows are scripted. I cant believe anything that happens on those types of shows.

I'm pissed I was out of the country when they came to Ft. Worth, if not for work I would have been there, my buddies that were there told me about it though. Not sure if y'all have been to the street races with these guys but it's a good time. As I'm sure you know the cops aren't quite that hostile right from the get go but we have had that happen multiple times.

Well good thing I don't do that. Can you say that about yourself and street racing?
