Well...I joined the dark side...
After lots of car shopping after I crashed my Mustang, I ended up with a
1999 Eclipse GSX.... I know. I will add it is completely built with a GT35R and only 55k miles on it. Put down 422 on the dyno, I'm buying the few things needed for corn so should be 500, but still....what can I say

Well...I joined the dark side...
Eclipses can look sick of done up right, and the AWD models can be quick. Time to race Nic and find out.

My Talon TSI was awesome, when it ran. Trans issues, crank walk, etc. Loved the way it looked, but never again.

That's the same story of every DSM owner I've ever known over the years. They are fun when they run, but they break...a lot.

You did that guy a huge favor by buying his car. I think people used to have fun with the DSMs back when you could still find parts for them, but I haven't seen any around in quite a while now that I think about it.
Good luck with it man. I hope you didn't buy it as a daily.

The main reason was I couldn't find a mustang like I had before, I'm not going to get a slower mustang, I just can't...I have owned 3 other DSMs in the past, I am very familiar with them. Just like anything else yes shit breaks but usually the ones you hear about breaking have 150k miles and a teenager doing AWD launches in reverse or some other retarded shit like that. The engine is complete built, built head etc etc. I have cash left over to upgrade the trans and do all E85. I have a beater I drive everyday so I just kinda wanted a change. I still have my mustang love guys, I'm just in school and decided against getting a loan out. When I get out, I plan to redeem myself w/a 2013 GT500!
