The important piece of that is the truck is 700lbs lighter due to an aluminum body and expected to get 25+mpg. The Ford CEO was on CBS this morning stating that they are expecting to eventually make that move with all their products. So it looks like an aluminum bodied Mustang is the future before long!

I hope a diesel is included in the lineup soon. 30MPG.

Seriously it would seem that the base price of them would have to be absurd. 700 lbs weight loss is crazy!

According to the Ford CEO this morning, that is the direction Ford is heading. Small displacement motors and lighter weight vehicles.

Yup aluminum body, 700lbs lighter, a 2.7 eco boost joins the mix, a tailgate that you can remotely open, and 360 degree cameras are just some of the highlights. With the diet they put it on and that 2.7l the mpg should be damn close to 30. The Super Duty diesel is also getting a bit of a rework.

I think this platform is worthy of a Lightning since it has that much weight loss.

That would be amazing! The Tremor is out and about now but it just doesn't have the same feel. Single cab, eco boost, 4.10 gears.

Yup. And it may even be a 2 motor option as a Lightning.

Going to sell like hot cakes for sure. Wonder what that giant sunroof is going to cost, guessing 2k minimum.
