Poor car

I nearly rear ended somebody last week. The stock brakes work really well.

No injuries. And guess what, LOL, here comes the story. 16 yr old kid stops next me at a light in a 2015 Stang ecoboost. Rolls down his window and says "nice car, my dad wouldn't buy me a 5.0." So I say, "He's smart, not a 16 yr old car. " Kid laughs, light goes green, I launch a little and leave him in the rearview. My 11 yr old says, "hahah a, dad, that 4 cylinder is slow..." We have a laugh and drive on. He's his father's son.

Fast forward 2 minutes. Kid in the ecoboost is now behind me at a red light. Light turns green, no one goes except him and he must've hammered it because he pushed me 10ft into the Honda in front of me. Smoked that brand new Mustang's front end.

Kids.....

Goes in Tuesday and I'm in the most giant piece of shit rental in the history of pieces of shit. Challenger 6 cylinder. Auto. W.T.F??? Hahahahaha

Funny story. Glad no one got hurt.

I was driving down I30 with my 16 year old son last week when I reached some construction. I wasn't paying attention and everyone in front of me was stopping. I was going at least 75 when I noticed. I never put that much force on a brake pedal before in my life and stopped inches away from a back bumper. Turned to my son and said "Don't drive like me."

Like I said, I was impressed with how well the stock brakes worked. But I also found an excuse to upgrade them.

Sorry to hear that. It will make you appreciate your car more when you get it back. I had some work done on a door dent last year and my rental was a stripped down 6 cylinder GMC truck. Felt like I was pushing a pallet of cinder blocks down the highway. I didn't know they still made window roller upper handles...When I turned it back in they walked around it and tried to blame me for one of the scratches on that piece of shit.

I'm happy with the stock brakes too but I still want a Big Brake setup for auto x. Haven't settled on which ones. Hmmmm successful DV claim could help! LOL!

Man that's a big dent for the front of a stand hitting it. Did his bags deploy?
