I've been driving since '78, couldn't list them all if I tried. Notable highlights from along the way, roughly in chronological order: - 1955 Pontiac Chieftain - 1st car
- 1970 Mach 1, 428CJ, 4 Speed, Drag Pak
- 1970 Hemi Cuda - Never really ran right
- 1971 Challenger R/T Convertible - 340, 4 speed, blue on blue
- 1958 Corvette, black with silver coves, skinny Cragar SS, never ran
- 1955 DeSoto Firedome 4 door, 330 Hemi, pushbutton auto
- 1959 Impala, 6 cylinder, 3 speed, white on red
- 1976 Camaro RS - 350, auto, slow
- 1981 Corvette - triple black with mirrored t-tops, 1st new car, POS!
- 1981 Mercury Capri - 2nd new car, started the whole Fox thing for me
- 1983 Mercury Capri RS, blue on blue, 5.0, 5 speed, a few mods
- 1988 Corvette convertible, red on red with a white top, another POS
- 1992 Camaro RS, 502 swap, 700R4 trans
- 1996 Corvette Gran Sport, LT1, auto, ZEX 150 shot
- 1997 Dodge Neon Highline, 2.0 DOHC, custom turbo kit, 280 hp
- 1992 240 SX, Silvia conversion, SR20 swap, and then an RB25 swap
- 2005 Mustang 4.0, ZEX 125 kit, ran mid 12's
- 2005 GT Premium, black on black, 5 speed, mostly stock
- 1992 Mustang Convertible, bought to drop a 460 in, never finished
- 2003 GT Premium, Sonic Blue, Procharger, seriously slow
- 1985 Mercury Capri RS, 5.0, 5 speed
- 2005 Mustang 4.0, Legend Lime, just a tune, pretty slow
- 2003 GT Premium, white on black, mild 2V, still slow
- 1978 Mustang King Cobra, red on red, 5.0, auto, t-tops
- 2012 Mustang 5.0, ya'll know all about this one, not so slow
- 1987 Mustang SSP Coupe, 5.0, 5 speed, 3.73's
- 2005 Mustang GT Premium, black on red, auto, daily driver
- 1982 Mercury Capri RS, 5.0, 4 speed, 53k miles, bone stock
Lots of regular daily driver type cars along the way too, but that's the majority of the fun stuff.

Nope, had a legit R34, and a Mitsu built Mini clone (they built them under license to the old Mini company - Cooper, I believe, but they had a Mitsu built 1.6 or 2.0 in them) when I lived in Misawa, didn't even add them to the list, totally forgot!

Nice. I forgot, a 240sx was actually a 180 in Japan...

Way up North man! We had a ski hill right on base and got to use it every Winter. I worked there as a civilian DoD contractor for Lockheed in the late 80's. Even bought a house while I was there (cheaper than renting at the time). Recently sold the house to the AF family that had been in it since I left in '92. Would love to travel back someday and see all the old sites.

It wasn't the same back then as it is now. It was just another car at the time. The locals didn't like them much, at least where I was (400 miles North of Tokyo). I ended up selling it and getting a Nissan S'Cargo so I could carry groceries and things.
They seemed much more impressed with the Mini, or the '85 VF1000R Interceptor I had shipped in from the States (Japanese citizens, at that time, couldn't legally own a motorcycle larger than 250cc).

You were lucky you could afford to buy, it must have been cheaper up there. I was in Kansai at the same time period and housing prices were crazy.

I had a ZZR 750 but it had to be double exported to buy it. Loophole in the law.

My roommate and I were paying almost $500 a month for rent. Landlord came by one day and was talking about selling the place, we asked how much. Under $20k (roughly 1200 sf, typical 3/4 scale stuff, 7 foot ceilings and 6 foot doors, I felt like a giant over there! LOL!). We got it financed through Bank Of Fort Sam Houston (base bank at the time) and the rest was history. Mortgage ended up at $200 a month for 15 years. Roommate got fired a year later (odd, since his dad was our HR guy) and moved back to the States, so I bought him out at that time. Held on to it until last year, when I sold it for appraised value (right at $60k). Nice little investment in the end. Kind of planned on retiring there though, so I guess that's out now.
