Yeah I had a buddy go to school for the same thing. He works as a vetenary assistant, nothing remotely close to what he went to school for.

Systems Admin for the largest publicly traded energy company in the world (not allowed to say the name on public forums, violates company policy). And I'm also a hell of a lot older than anyone else here.

Wife and I got ~$2,200 back. It's paying off 2 credit cards. Very exciting.

I would've got with Taxman, but with my mom being a certified CPA and all, I get it for free.

Not sure how many of those he does but doesn't hurt to ask him. I was VERY happy with his services and will be using him from now on.

Age has nothing to do with how much tax you pay. I've filed single and made almost 3x that and get a return every year. (usually $750-1000) It's about how much you pay in vs owe. This is the first year I've filed married and added a dependent. I still paid in at the single rate and moved WAY down the tax bracket since my wife doesn't work/much. Hella Return! I'd adjust my withholdings for next year, but she's going to start teaching, so I'm sure it'll be different.
