CJIM, DR's, Air Raid CAI (IIRC) and a seriously well done, well sorted out tune. I'm also guessing that said tune might be just a tad lean for daily driving.

Not to thread jack but, I consider that barely modded. Just an intake manifold, CAI and tune.

It's a full bolt-on car with bigs and littles. But with a CJ intake instead of a Boss, and a modified 2005-2010 4.6 Airraid intake.

There is a white NA car with some very effective mods that goes 10s though... and a gray one, too.

names are kdanner and wbt, they both post here
Spot on 46Tbird.

White one is Boss-powered auto owned by kdanner
Gray one is Coyote-powered auto owned by wbt

What you said plus some weight reduction (but with some weight added back in for rollcage and other safety items), e85, longtubes, aluminum d/s, Detroit Locker rearend and Strange axles...on both

Doubt their cars are too lean or dangerous (otherwise they wouldn't last long)...and they do drive both cars on the street

Quite a bit more than just what was stated but you are correct on no power adder, stock heads/cams...white car does have Boss heads and Boss cams since it is a Boss motor. Gray car is a Coyote so stock heads/cams/internals. It's all in the combo of parts and ESPECIALLY the tune

white car now has a 5" CJ CAI with 123mm MAF
gray car now has a pre-production FRPP CJ street CAI
I now have wbt's 2010 4.6 Airaid intake on my car while I wait for the production version of the FRPP CJ street CAI

Cool.

So when do you get to head back out to resume your testing?

Here is a pic of the intake FRPP will be shipping soon:

kdanner's car has been 10.6's, mine has been 10.8's. Both in non-optimal air conditions.

BTW - the tune is very safe. I use the same tune on the street that I use at the track.

It was just a guess. I know "lean" makes power, and I have erred on the wrong side of caution in the past, just to get a few more ponies out of them.

These new 5.0's just seem to rewrite most of the rules we learned along the way as far as how to tune goes. What worked good on a 2V or a 3V does not translate out well to a new 4V.

Ya'll seem to have a pretty good handle on it though! If I ever do ditch the blower, maybe I can con ya'll into a tune.

We do OK. I think there may be a little left in the tune still. Something we will work on over the next couple of months.

I do believe the white car will be in the 10.5-10.4 range very soon. Just need a good track and some good air to get there. Still running a stock Roadrunner setup with a CJ intake. Probably next year sometime a 2013 CJ engine combo (cams, pistons, over bore) will be put together for it and I expect low 10's.

Working on a few things with my car and hope to have it in the 10.6's in the not so distant future.
